Baile Funk at Favela Chic!

I love baile funk. So I wanted Brazilian Fantasy to be the 1st group in the UK with a dedicated baile funk performance. I think we are, at least I hope we are! We worked with the DJ's from Club Popozuda to make our own unique track, then choregraphed and rehearsed it to within an inch of our lives to perform to a very enthused crowd at Favela Chic London. I'd love to one day take it to some sort of baile funk world congress, if the Rio residents ever get around to organising something like that.

Only that's not the clean track, the DJ on the night thought he'd "improve" our track (which he had made anyways) by scratching over the top of it and adding bits.... unimpressed I was! But I was sweating too much to notice at the time... enjoy :)

Baile Funk

The hottest modern sounds of the Rio de Janeiro favelas combining Miami Bass, Latin rhythms and Hip Hop into an explosive choreography. Brazilian Fantasy is the 1st UK company to have a dedicated Baile Funk dance number.

Capoeira

Capoeira is an Afro Brazilian art combining music, dance, martial arts and acrobatics and is one of the biggest crowd pleasers of the night!

Contemporary Afro Brazilian

Our choreography fuses African rhythms, Brazilian Samba and Contemporary Dance into an exciting and fun dance show.
